W. Mae Mills Obituary (1937 - 2013)

Corydon, Indiana W. Mae Mills, 76, passed away, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She was born in Louisville, KY on August 24, 1937 the daughter of Finis and Wilda Meredith Allison. She was the custodian at the New Middletown Elementary School for over 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband- Bill Mills. She is survived by One son- Duke Mills (Cindy) of Borden, IN Four daughters- Allison Jennings (Ched) of Louisville, KY Vickey Ashton (John) of Corydon, IN Belinda Wright (Diane) of Charlestown, IN Billie Jo Redden (Jeff) of Corydon, IN Two Sisters- Ethel Hinton of Jeffersonville, IN and Betty Spriggs of Shepherdsville, KY Nine grandchildren-Todd Elbert (Samantha) Jared Ashton (Jessica) and Jesse Ashton Josh Wright, Kayla Tackett (Kyle) Meredith Owen, Alex Owen, Ashleigh Popp and Kyle Mills Nine Great Grandchildren- Alexis, Peyton, Alissa, Camden, Ellie, Ruger Esmae, Haleigh, and Caleb Her children are honoring her wishes by choosing cremation only with no visitation or service. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon are handling the arrangements.
