Corydon, Indiana Roscoe Edward Shewmaker, Jr., 65, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at his home with his beloved wife at his side. He was a devout Catholic and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a husband, father, grandfather and son. He retired from Pillsbury after 44 years of service and following the American dream, he was a farmer his entire life. He was preceded in death by his Mother- Goldie Gerdon Shewmaker. He is survived by His wife of 45 years, Lonnia Mae Cavins Shewmaker Two sons- Roger Edward Shewmaker (April) and Randy Eric Shewmaker (Jill) Four loving grandchildren- Dakota, Ryan, Olivia, and Reese Shewmaker and his father- Roscoe Eugene Shewmaker, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, IN. Father Rob Hankee will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 3 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2014 and after 9 AM Friday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. There will be a Rosary service held at the funeral home at 7:30 PM on Thursday evening.
