Richard E. Clipp, Jr. Obituary (1952 - 2019)

Richard E. Clipp, Jr., 66, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born December 5, 1952 in New Albany, Indiana the son of Richard E., Sr. and Mary Cuzzort Clipp. He was a teacher and coach for Corydon Central High School, a member of the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame and an inaugural member of the Corydon Athletic Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Michael Clipp. He is survived by his wife Karen Kron Clipp of Corydon; daughter, Meredith Clipp-Rodriquez of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Isabella and Lola Rodriquez of Jeffersonville, IN; sister, Cathleen Clipp May of Osgood, IN; and his aunt, Jeannine Cuzzort of New Albany, IN. Funeral services will be at 6 PM Monday, August 12, 2019 at Wesley Chapel UMC, 2100 Hwy 150 Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Pastor Tony Alstott will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 7 PM Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN and from 2 PM to 6 PM on Monday at the church. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Joshua Rodriquez Foundation either at the funeral home or through Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church at the address above.
