Rev. August V. Huber Obituary (1923

Lanesville, Indiana Rev. August V. Huber, 88, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born in New Albany, Indiana on July 17, 1923 the son of John and Sarah Plaiss Huber. He was a retired Methodist minister. He served in many communities including the Crawford County Circuit in Leavenworth, Fredericksburg, Orangeville, Little York, Marengo, Lanesville, Freelandville, Stone Bluff, Austin, Evansville, Ragelville, Monroevia and Thorntown. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in New Albany, was a member of the Masonic Lodge 475 in Marengo and was a volunteer at Wedgewood Healthcare for eight years. He is survived by Two Sons- Vernon Huber of Lawrenceburg, KY Rev. Hollis Huber of Charlestown, IN One Daughter Bonnie Huber of New Albany, IN Three Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. His sons will be the officiants. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Georgetown on Tuesday from 4 PM to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Wednesday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made in lieu of flowers to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
