Norma Jean Smith, 84, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Corydon, Indiana.

She was born September 6, 1931 in Corydon, to Roy William and Ann K Brown Smith.

IN her lifetime , she a homemaker, worked in accounting as a secretary for the IRS in New Albany, a care-giver ,a member of the Harrison County Council 1980-1984,(the first elected female to hold that office in Harrison County), a member of the Corydon Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2950, a Past President of the American Legion and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sons, Michael Stephen Smith (Frances Ann) of Jacksonville, Fl. And Danny Louis Smith of Corydon, one daughter, Tamarya J. Crawford, of Corydon, Indiana, a brother, Roy William Smith Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee and two sisters, Charlotte Umber of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Janet Stevens of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN.

Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning Saturday, Nov. 28 from 11:00 AM to 8 :00 PM and Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana

Saturday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
