Meredith "Merdy" Stewart Meyer Obituary (1926 - 2020)

Meredith "Merdy" Stewart Meyer, 93 passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his home. He was the son of John and Edna Stewart Meyer. Merdy did many things throughout life, he was a barber, auctioneer, truck driver, hauling coal and having a fruit stand at his house. However, he filled the last 15 years with the thing that he enjoyed doing the most, going to the market to buy produce and venture to Amish country to sell door to door and visit. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Dorothy Carmen Meyer, one daughter; Vicky Meyer, One brother; Jack Meyer. He is survived by two daughters; Barbara Bryan (Robert) of New Albany, Indiana and Patty Emily of Corydon, Indiana, one brother; Gerald Meyer, Four Grandchildren; Russell, Chelsea, Tracy and Heather, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral and visitation will be private due to current restrictions concerning COVID 19.
