Melwood G. Sutherland Obituary (1966 - 2019)

New Albany, IN Melwood Sutherland, 52, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born in Corydon on August 17, 1966, the son of Roy and Mary Marsh Sutherland. He was a landscaper and enjoyed reading, woodworking, playing cards and computers. He was survived by his brother, Roy D. Sutherland of New Albany and four sisters: Lilly Sutherland of New Albany, Josephine Tankersley (Ed) of Elizabeth, Karen Olinick of Jeffersonville, and Angela Wiseman of Prospect, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Thomas Lohrstorfer will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12-8 PM and Thursday 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Terry and Gary Johnson, Edward Tankersley, Robert Gower, Theo McDuffy and Josh Hill. Burial will be St. Mary's Cemetery in Lanesville, IN.
