Mazie Catherine Leathers Obituary (1934 - 2015)

Georgetown, Indiana Mazie Catherine Leathers, 80, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at her home in Georgetown. She was born in Mt. Eden, Kentucky on May 14, 1934 the daughter of Everett and Esther Nethery McGaughey. She was a retired currency sorter at the Federal Reserve Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Georgetown and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church near Lanesville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Hazel Bentley and Ann Tabler. She is survived by Her husband Ralph G. Leathers of Georgetown, Indiana Four Daughters- Kitty Pennington (David) of Lebanon, Tennessee Jo Ann Ragan (John) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana Cindy Cook (John) of Thompson Station, Tennessee Lisa Hammond (Jeff) of Georgetown, Indiana Five Brothers- Marion McGaughey of Denver, Colorado Lister McGaughey of Louisville, Kentucky Ralph McGaughey of Simpsonville, Kentucky James and Don McGaughey both of Frankfort, Kentucky One Sister- Wanda Milburn of Louisville, Kentucky Twelve Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, Indiana. Rev. Frank Pendleton and Chaplain James Santos will officiate. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Georgetown on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 1 PM to 8 PM and from 12 PM to 2 PM on Tuesday. The family suggests memorial gifts me made to either Mt. Zion United Methodist Church or to Amedysis Hospice Care at 305 Quartermaster Court Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130 or at the funeral home.
