Mary R. Kintner, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at her home in Corydon. She was born July 5, 1934, in San Antonio, TX. Mary and Kenneth Kintner were married November 22, 1953, at St. Henry's Cathedral in San Antonio. She was the owner and operator of the Idlewild Post Restaurant in Corydon, along with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and her son Anthony. She is survived by sons, Virgil Kintner (Shari) and Joey Kintner (Janet) all of Corydon, IN; daughters, Debra Grover (Don) of Lafayette, LA and Karen Melton (Glen) of Corydon, IN; ten grandchildren, Daniel Kintner (Rebecca), Rene Finke (Joshua), Rachel Bowman (Hannah), Heather Kintner-Smith (Scott), Carl Redden, Andrew Grover (Emily), Kenny Grover (Megan), Cicilia Wilder (Kevin), Jacqueline Smith (Brian), Benjamin Melton (Brooke) and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Bill Mauck will be the officiant. Burial will follow in Potato Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 7 PM Saturday, March 9, 2024, and again on Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the funeral home in Corydon, IN.
