Margaret Chaffin

Margaret Evelyn Feller Chaffin passed away on February 28, 2026. She was born February 20, 1935, the daughter of Andy and Christine Feller.

Margaret was a retired as store manager of Corydon Goodwill Industries Life-long member of Perseverance Chapel Church. She enjoyed gardening, walking, reading, crocheting and was a great Biblical historian. Margaret's greatest joys were traveling and shopping; she loved both!

She is preceded in death by her Husband: Albro Chaffin, Son: Larry Chaffin, Brother: Howard Feller.

Margaret is survived by: Daughter: Evelyn Hardsaw (Jerry), Granddaughters: Michelle Franks (Darin); Bobbie Wade (Kevin), Grandson: Jeremy Chaffin, Great Grandchildren: Cole and Kylie Franks; Taylor Wade, Siblings: Mary Conrad; Ruby Uhl (John); Bobby Feller (Karen), as well as nieces and nephews and extended family and friends

A funeral service will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Perseverance Chapel Church near Corydon. Per Margaret's wishes, there will be no public viewing or committal service.

The family would like to thank Corydon Cedar Court Assisted Living staff & friends (especially Dawn, Kayla, Laura, and special friend Mary Wiser) for caring for Margaret the past 4 years in her "home away from home".

A special thank you also is extended to The Willows of Corydon and to Interim Hospice nurses and staff for Margaret's last 5 weeks of care and compassion. Kindness from family and friends did not go unnoticed; the cards, gifts, visits, kind words were all appreciated.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts be made to Perseverance Chapel Cemetery.
