Loy Franklin Morgan Obituary (1948 - 2020)

Elizabeth, Indiana Loy F. Morgan, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at U L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY with his wife by his side. Loy was born September 24, 1948 in New Albany, IN to Emil and Helen Mahan Morgan. He was an Army Veteran. He retired from the Harrison County Hwy. Department. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents and parents-in-law Harrell and Ella Sorrels. He is survived by his wife, Pat Morgan, married since December 30, 1980; daughters Amy Chaplin of Elizabeth, IN and ZaneAnn [Chuck] Maddox of Scottsbluff, NE; grandchildren, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Wyatt Chaplin of Elizabeth, IN; brother, Gary [Glenda] Morgan and sister, Janet Morgan, both of Elizabeth IN. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Russ Lievers will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-8 PM and Wednesday 9-11 AM. Burial will be at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, IN.
