Kevin Kitterman

Kevin Douglas Kitterman, 76, died on Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on April 20, 1949, in Corydon, Indiana, to Willie and Geneva Fulkerson Kitterman. Kevin was a 1967 graduate of Corydon Central High School. He married Barbara Kay Overton on December 22, 1982. Kevin was a Vietnam Era U.S. Navy Seabees veteran who went on to a lifelong career as a skilled carpenter, spending most of his life as a construction foreman.

Kevin was a loving stepfather to Roger (Julie) Weathers of Lanesville, Jason (Jenny) Weathers of Corydon, and Jennifer (Matt) Morrill of Columbus, Indiana. Though he had the tough exterior of a lifelong construction man, he was a big softie when it came to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His face always lit up when they walked into the room. His grandchildren: Megan (Daniel) Lytle, Spencer (Kay) Weathers, Chase (Savannah) Weathers, Braydon (Jada) Weathers, Jacob (Allison) Shaver, Winter Shaver, Sam Morrill, and Tommy (Carlie) Morrill; and his great-grandchildren: Jessica Lytle, Beau Weathers, Rowan Weathers, and baby boy Lytle expected March 2026.

Kevin and Barbara enjoyed camping over the years and could often be found along the banks of the Ohio River at Horseshoe Bend Campground. In recent years, Kevin could most often be found in his garage alongside his two cats and wood-burning stove during the colder months, where he happily passed the time.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, and his beloved wife, Barbara. In addition to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, he is survived by three brothers: Gary Kitterman, William Kitterman, and Leland Kitterman.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Kevin’s family from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 318 E. Chestnut Street, Corydon, IN 47112. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a graveside ceremony immediately following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
