Jesse Dunkeson

Jesse Dunkeson, age 52, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1973, and lived a life defined by resilience, love for his family, and quiet strength.

Jesse was the beloved son of the late James E. Dunkeson, who passed on April 25, 2015, and Sharon K. (Lockhart) Dunkeson, who passed on January 29, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Brian Dunkeson and Ronnie Dunkeson.

He is survived by his loving sister, Alicia (Dunkeson) Ervin, who will cherish his memory always.

Over the last eight years, Jesse faced chronic health challenges with courage and determination. Despite the difficulties he encountered, he maintained a positive spirit and did his best to make the most of every day. His strength and perseverance were inspiration to those who knew and loved him.

Jesse deeply valued his family. He took great pride in his nieces and nephews and found joy in watching them grow and succeed.

Jesse was also known for being a great storyteller. He enjoyed sharing memories from his life with anyone he met, often bringing laughter, reflection, and connection through his stories. Those moments will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of listening.

A memorial visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown from 10 AM until 12 noon.

A memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM following the visitation on Friday.
