Jean Brown

Jean Haas Brown, age 89, passed away on October 28, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1937, to Maurice and Emma Haas of Laconia, Indiana.

Jean was a loving, caring, and devoted soul whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She treasured the moments spent with those she loved, and her love and care for her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Jean was a lifelong member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, where she maintained a dedicated connection throughout her life.

Throughout the years, Jean shared a special love of Standardbred horse racing with her beloved husband, Gordon Lamar Brown. Racing horses together was a meaningful part of their lives and a special memory that will always be treasured.

Jean is survived by her children, Jeffery Brown (Debbie) and Tammy Jobe (Donald); four grandchildren, Phillip Ammons (Tina), Kimberly Brown (Derek),Holly Ammons, and Cody Jobe (Kailyn); ten great-grandchildren; Bryan, Gracelynn, Maggie Trinity, Breanna, Hart, Cooper, Jace, Vanna Jordyn and her twin sister, Jane Yeager.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lamar Brown; her grandson, Bradley Lamar Brown; her brother, Willard Haas; and her sister, Mary Ellen Haas.

Though Jean will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the devotion she showed to her family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her life was a gift to her family, and her memory will forever be cherished.
