Hugh Morgan Jeffries Obituary (1963

Louisville, Kentucky Hugh Morgan Jeffries, 50, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home in Louisville. He was born in Louisville on October 6, 1963 the son of Roy and Nancye Langley Jeffries. He was a CBT inspector on the day shift at Ford Motor Company, where he won an award as Number 1 in accuracy and speed, company wide. He remembered the best part of his childhood being in the old Scout Troop 777 in Okalona where he was taught self reliance. He was one of the first children bussed in Louisville, he was a Ham radio operator, number KK4UFO. He was a vampire enthusiast. He was a guest speaker on Art Bell's syndicated radio show, 'Coast to Coast', the Chris Magill show 'Paranormal' and also was a guest on the Tony Venetti Fox radio show. He was also referred to as Ford's 'plant vampire', and was a gigantic fan of the full series of 'Dark Shadows'. He was also known as Louisville's official music historian. He played bass for 'Nervous Melvin and The Mistakes' in 1982 for a year and a half. He also wrote articles for Louisville's 'Hard Times' magazine called 'Ten Years Ago in Music' from 1993-1995. He is preceded in death by his first wife the former Carol Lantern. Pastor Ellen Swiggart will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon from 10 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 9 AM to 11 AM. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Susan G.
