Harriett Eckart

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harriett J. Eckart, who left us on July 26, 2025 at the age of 73. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, and her absence will be deeply felt. Harriett was born on November 16, 1951, the daughter of Howard and Alma Crecelius Harbeson. She retired as a senior procurement agent for Jeffboat in Jeffersonville, IN. and is a member of Corydon United Methodist Church in Corydon, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clyde W. Eckart of Corydon, IN; daughters Jennifer Holland and Laura Timberlake (Scott) and grandchildren, Emma Holland and Charles Timberlake, all of Sellersburg, IN; brothers, Dennis, Dallas (Donna), Steven (Reba) and Jeff (Sandy) Harbeson all of Corydon, IN; sisters, Sandra Hamilton (Michael) of Corydon, IN, Mindy Timberlake (Gary) and Ruth Phipps (James) all of Ramsey, IN and Judy Yates (George) of Brandenburg, KY. A memorial service will be at 11 AM Friday, August 1, 2025, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Thursday, July 31, 2025 and again from 9 AM until the service at 11 AM on Friday also at the funeral home.
