Harold "Strawberry" G. Schneider Obituary (1934

Lanesville, Indiana Harold G. 'Strawberry' Schneider, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home in Lanesville. He was born in Harrison County, Indiana on September 7, 1934 the son of Edward J. and Agnes M. Schellenberger Schneider. He was owner and operator of the K & H Caf in Lanesville from 1960 to 1995, he was precinct committeeman and a delegate for the Democrat Party. He was also president of the Indiana License Beverage Association. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Council 1808 and a charter member of Maurice Kochert Assembly 3289 4th degree. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by His Wife- Marlene Litch Schneider of Lanesville, IN Two Sons- Matthew L. Schneider (Cathy) of Seymour, IN Dale E. Schneider (Connie) of Dallas, TX Two Daughters-Pam J. Schneider and Patricia A. Bliss (Mark) both of New Albany, IN Three Brothers- Kenneth Schneider (Flo) and Herb Schneider (Amy) both of Lanesville, IN and Donald Schneider (Pat) of Indianapolis, IN One Sister- Mary Eisert of Lanesville, IN Six Grandchildren- Isaac, Justin, Kyle and Sydney Schneider, Tyler and Clayton Bliss. One Great Granddaughter- Ruth Schneider A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be military rites at the grave. Visitation will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM and after 8 AM on Saturday. There will be a Rosary Service at the funeral home in Corydon on Friday evening at 7:30 PM. Pallbearers will be his six grandchildren. The family suggests memorial gifts me made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dawn Linne for her loving care.
