Forrest "Bub" F Bowman Obituary (1937 - 2020)

New Albany, IN Forrest F. "Bub" Bowman, 83, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. He was born December 11, 1937 in Floyd County the son of Forrest G. and Carrie McLain Bowman. Bub spent 25 years as a custodian in the New Albany School Systems where he loved cheering on the Bulldogs. He also was an avid Indiana Hoosier fan and loved working his Jumble puzzles. He was a member of Edwardsville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Imogene Reed and Patricia Bierly; brothers in law, Howard Reed, Bernard Bierly; nephews, Steve Sheckell, Dale Bierly and niece, Shelly Ireland and sister-in-law Carol Gay. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jan Scheler Bowman; nephews, Lance Ireland of Cincinnati, OH, Kevin Reed (Linda) of New Albany, IN, Shawn Bierly of Georgetown, IN, Mark Scheler (Theresa) of Logansport, IN, Brad Scheler of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin Gay (Amy) of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Karen Sheckell of Georgetown, IN, Kathy Gilbert (John) of Monticello, IN, Karen Sobieray (Mike) of Greenwood, IN; brother-in-laws, Paul Scheler (Jeanette) of Lebanon, OH , Robert Gay (Sandy) of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert (Sandy) Gay of Jacksonville, Fl.
