Ethelene Ashby Obituary (1930 - 2018)

Corydon, Indiana Ethelene Ashby, 87, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born August 26, 1930 in Elizabeth, Indiana to Wilbur Neil and Flora Hollis Mifflin. She was a former employee of Walmart, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Ashby and her son, Robert T. Ashby. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Wilkerson (Robert) of Corydon, Indiana and Chandra Fischer (John) of Prospect, Kentucky. Five Grandchildren: Jennifer Gromko, Aimee Rodela, Jason Ashby, Larissa Chandley-Barr, Jessica Murphy; and eight Great-Grandchildren: Robert Oliver Ashby, Matilda Corabelle Ashby, January Grace Murphy, Noah Dagon Barr, Olivia Amaris Claire Conrad, Ava Elizabeth Rodela, Ethan Andrew Rodela, and Emilia Vivenne Gromko. Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 28 at 2:00 PM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation will be Saturday January 27 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. The family suggest Memorial Gifts be given to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
