Eileen Vest Martin, 93, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, Indiana. She was born June 26, 1925 in Russel County, Kentucky to C.R. and Vivian Birdwell Vest.
She retired from Jewish Hospital where she worked as a Pathologist Transcriptionist. She was a member of Georgetown Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Glenn Martin; son, Stephen Martin.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Eileen Martin; one Grandson, Glenn L. (Angela) Bennett of Archibold, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Carol Vest Morrison of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two sisters-in law, Opal Sarles of New Albany, Indiana and Helen Cook of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in law, Curt (Dora) Martin of Sulphur, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 10, 2018, 11:00 AM at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, Indiana.
Visitation will begin Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 12 noon until 7:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Burial will be at Wolfe Cemetery, in Georgetown, Indiana.
