Edward F. Phillips, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born December 16, 1938 in Waddy, KY the son of Sidney and Lillian Mahuron Phillips.
He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Cristiani Excavating.
He is preceded in death by his son, Edward Keith Phillips and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Phillips; son, Jeff Phillips of Greenville, IN; daughters, Lisa Phillips of Corydon, IN and Karen Phillips of Nicholasville, KY; brother, Allen Phillips of Shelbyville, KY; sisters, Brenda Jamison (Don) of Mount Eden, KY and Betty Bailey (Dean) of Frankfort, KY; daughters in law, Rena Phillips of Lanesville, IN and Brenda Mayfield of New Albany; grandchildren, John Phillips (Jessica), Rob Phillips, Jessica Campbell (Carson), Katie Acton (Kenton); great grandchildren, Lilly, Karolynn, Preston, Annabell, Izzy, Oaklee, Ezery; special little ones that called him "Grandaddy", Zander and Beckett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral ceremony will be 11 AM, Monday, December 19, 2022 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Pastor Marvin Culver will officiate. A committal service will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany, IN.
Visitation will begin Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 3 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home and continue at 9 AM on Monday until the time of service.
