Dorothy Lemmon, 88, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home in New Albany, IN. She was born in Corydon, IN on March 3, 1937 the daughter of Floyd and Alliene Heishman Cunningham. She was a salesclerk, a wonderful homemaker, and a devout member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany. She loved her family and enjoyed hosting family and neighborhood gatherings. Dorothy always had a positive outlook and enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, John, Sr., Frank and Joe Cunningham. She is survived by her daughters, Denise Lewis, Celeste Hamm (David)and Cynthia Lemmon-Egan; brothers, Floyd, Jr., (Dinah), Fred (Betty) and Jim Cunningham (Pat) and sister-in-law, Patricia Cunningham along with several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Pastor Marvin Overstreet will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the service at 12 Noon also at the funeral home in Corydon.
