Donald G. Sample Obituary (1930

Corydon, Indiana Donald G. Sample, 83, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. He was born in Laconia, Indiana on July 15, 1930 the son of Mervin and Nannie Bell Gurley Sample. He was retired from Southern Railroad where he was a bridge and building foreman, was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville, IN and was an Army veteran of the Korean era. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife- Wilma Schweitzer Sample, a brother James Sample and a niece Peggy Sample. He is survived by his wife Lillie Mann Stepro and a daughter Teresa Brown both of Corydon, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Stephen McAfee will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Wednesday from 4 PM to 8 PM and after 10 AM on Thursday. The family suggests memorials be given to Perseverance Chapel Church.
