Christopher Bryan Cook-Simms Obituary (1977 - 2021)

Georgetown, IN Christopher Bryan Cook-Simms, 44, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, in Columbus, OH. He was born September 29, 1977, the son of James Simms and Tonya Fitzgerald. Christopher was a "jack of all trades". He worked in construction and was an avid fisherman and animal lover. He was preceded by his grandparents, James Simms, Raymond Cook and Mary Jane Dudgeon Melead. He is survived by his parents, James Simms (Linda) of New Albany, IN and Tonya Fitzgerald (Roger) of Georgetown, IN; sons, Elijah Cook of Clarksville, IN, Ayden Bryant Manhakins, NJ, Christopher Cook of Louisville, KY, Angelica of North Vernon, IN and Veronica Cook of Louisville, KY; brother, Michael Simms of Clarksville, IN; sisters, Jessica Huffman of Jeffersonville, IN and Jamie Lynn Simms of New Albany, IN; 1 grandson and many aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service at 2 PM also at the funeral home.
