Charles D. McAfee

Charles Dan McAfee, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Harrison Healthcare. He was born on April 21, 1936, the son of Albert McAfee and America McAfee.

He an avid outdoorsman, he found great peace and joy in hunting and fishing. Above all, he was a man of deep and abiding faith and a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He possessed a particular passion for classic cars, especially Corvettes, and took great pride in his collection. His legacy is marked by a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, where he served with honor across many different facets of the profession..

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Patricia, Siblings: Willard, Elizabeth, InaJean Collins, Shirley, Leonard.

He is survived by his children, several siblings: Billie Jo Kumm (Frank), Albert McAfee, Adrain "Sam" McAfee, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 9 AM until 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112).

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
