Celesta R. Smith Obituary (1926

New Middletown, Indiana Celesta R. Smith, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She was born in Harrison County, IN on December 18, 1926 the daughter of Owen and Clora Fletcher McPhillips. She was an avid homemaker and devoted mother to four girls, she had worked at the Indiana Ammunition Plant in Charlestown. She was a charter member of the Eagles Ladies Auxillary 2794, a past madam president, American Legion Auxillary 492, New Middletown Homemaker Club, she was a former 4-H Leader, a democratic chair person and a former member of the Lions Club. She also trained under Mrs. O'Grady as a nurses aid when the Harrison County Hospital first opened. She was preceded in death by her husband Joyce (George) Smith. She is survived by Four daughters-Rosemary Bullerdick (Dan) of Corydon, IN Jacqulyn Smith (Norm Rathfon) of Omaha, NB Rhonda Georgeann Wiseman (Kim) of New Middletown, IN Celesta Joyce Smith (Gary Diedrich) of Ft. Wayne, IN Six grandchildren-Heather Yundt Clive (Major Michael Clive) of Dayton, OH, Brandon Wiseman (Christy) of Elizabeth, IN, Bridget Hofelich (Russell) of Corydon, IN, Christopher George Smith Rathfon, Courtney Celeste Smith Rathfon and Caitlyn Marie Smith Rathfon all of Nebraska, Ryan Nicosia (JoDee) of Apollo Beach, FL Seven great-grandchildren-Hunter Owen Wiseman, Natalie Nicosia, Landon Drake Hofelich, Owen Michael Xaiver Clive, Myles Lamar Hofelich, Lillian Rosella Clive Piper Rose Wiseman A funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middletown, IN at 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN 5 PM 8 PM Thursday, 10 AM 8 PM Friday and from 8 AM 10 AM Saturday. A rosary service will be at 6 PM Friday evening. There will be an Eagles Auxillary Rites ceremony Friday at 7:30 PM.
