Carol Sue Davis Christley Teitelbaum Obituary (1944 - 2016)

New Albany, Indiana Carol Sue Davis Christley Teitelbaum, 71, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Norton's Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born August 10, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana to Paul Francis and Sylvia Fay Meriwether Davis. Carol was a Nurse at Norton's Hospital for 15 years. She graduated from the School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1982. She then worked as an attorney for Jewish Hospital in Risk Management. One of the many things she was passionate about was reading and volunteering with Friends of the Library at New Albany-Floyd County Library. Her other passions were traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Teitelbaum, and a sister, Lois Colliver. She is survived by her daughter Stacey Christley (Carmen Kruer) of Indianapolis, Indiana, a sister, Linda Hicks (Chip) of Rock Hill, South Carolina and four grandchildren: Loren, Tina, James and Jasmine Christley-Kruer Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February, 20, 2016. at 11:00 AM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, Indiana. Visitation will begin Friday, February 19 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of service. Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.. The family suggests memorial donations be made to: American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Arthritis Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
