Betty B. Bratcher Obituary (1933 - 2015)

Elizabeth, Indiana Betty B. Bratcher, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Silvercrest Health Campus in New Albany, IN. She was born on August 19, 1933 in Glasgow, KY the daughter of Frank and Lydia Mae Owens Houchens. She retired from Elizabeth Water Company and was owner and operator of Bratcher's Gift and Flowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elizabeth, IN and the South Harrison Community Development Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Sonny M. Bratcher. She is survived by Two Sons- David Bratcher (Teresa) and James Michael Bratcher (Cindy) both of Elizabeth, IN One Daughter- Donna Ruth Smith (Michael) of Gray, GA Five Grandchildren-Brandon, Adam, Kristen, Lea and John IV and several great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Elizabeth at 4 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Rev. Jeff Ball will officiate. Betty donated her body to Indiana University School of Medicine. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon is handling the arrangements.
