Angela Jean Meriwether Obituary (1938

Georgetown, Indiana Angela Jean Meriwether, 72, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky on December 13, 1938 the daughter of Jake Wheeler and Nada Skaggs Wheeler Arnold. She and her husband, Ronny owned and operated Meriwether-Kochert Real Estate in Lanesville, IN and was a Hall of Fame Realtor for Schuler-Bauer Real Estate Services and was a member of Southern Indiana Board of Realtors. She was a member of Christ United Methodist in Georgetown, IN. Angela was an avid golfer, she was a former member of Corydon Country Club, Valley View Golf Club and Jeffersonville Elks Club. She was a multi year Ladies Golf Club Champion at the Corydon Country Club. She and Ronny were couples champions at Corydon Country Club, Doe Valley Golf Course and Lincoln Trails Golf Course in Vine Grove, KY. She also made five holes-in-one in her golfing career. She was loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by Her Husband- Ronny Meriwether of New Albany, IN Three Sons- Christopher Meriwether (Alissa) of Louisville, KY Keith Meriwether (Nancy) of Sellersburg, IN Kevin Meriwether of Floyds Knobs, IN Two Brothers- Robert Arnold (Robin) and Michael Arnold (Janet) both of Louisville, KY Her Sister-In-Law Carla Meriwether of New Albany, IN Seven Grandchildren-Brittany McCarty, Hope, Hannah, Kellie, Nicholas, Jack and Tate Meriwether. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. Chaplain Lenne Keithley, II will officiate. Burial will be private in Wolfe Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Georgetown on Wednesday from 12 PM to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Thursday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either the Alzheimers Association or to her church.
