Alexa Chumley Obituary (1948 - 2024)

Alexa Chumley, 75, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her home in Elizabeth surrounded by family. She was born November 4, 1948, in Bardstown, Kentucky, the daughter of William Thomas Clements and Lula Belle Harrell Clements. Alexa was a lifetime member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Freda Lanthorn. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold C. Chumley of Elizabeth, Indiana, one son, Alex Chumley of New Middletown, Indiana, two daughters: Jodee Chumley (Ramiro) and Lindsay Chumley (Matt James) both of Elizabeth, Indiana, four grandchildren: Joseph Chumley, Will Chumley (Rebecca), Sada Jones, and Jayla James, two brothers: Leo Clements of Pahrump, Nevada and Alfred Clements of Laconia, Indiana, sister, Tamera Higgins (John) of Elizabeth Indiana as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church (312 East High St., Corydon, IN 47112). Visitation will be from 4 PM until 8 PM at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut St., Corydon, IN 47112) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. A rosary service will take place during visitation at 7 PM.
